decorative vase generally does not take flowers. It is used purely
as a showpiece. The more expensive porcelain, silver and crystal
ones especially of the branded variety are generally used for purely
decorative purposes. The flower-vase is a more widely available variety and often also available in more affordable price ranges. Compared to vases, urns are a newer trend in décor in Indian homes, but they have caught on very well indeed. Urns are widely used especially in the larger homes. Generally, they stand out best when placed in an empty or uncluttered corner of a spacious room or in the centre without much furniture around.
