to know. You can find here about the characteristics of
various zodiac signs one by one like, which is the characteristic
of Aries, why it is so difficult to understand Aquarius,
whether Virgo is so economist.
Aries
As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries represents
the first stage in the evolution of man and his
place in the universe. The raw energy of life
itself, which is the first step in being part
of the universe, is evident in the character and
make-up of Aries people. Babies think of themselves
as the center of everyone else's universe. As
they grow older, they learn that they are not
the center but part of a family group. It is the
karmic responsibility of the Aries-born to accept
the idea that they are not the center of the universe
but part of the larger social order of all men.
The Aries person is usually spare, strong, tall,
quick, and sharp of sight, of oval face and swarthy
complexion, with large shoulders. There are really
two distinct personalities born under the sign
Aries; those who are short, and those who are
tall and broad-shouldered. The former are much
under the influence of the Moon and the planet
Mars at the time of birth, and partake somewhat
of the characteristics of the signs these two
planets were in.
These
persons are quite changeable, quick tempered, cannot
bear to be contradicted, and resent being told of
their faults. If they are not permitted to do their
work in their own way they get into confusion, and
very likely lose all interest in the subject. Their
stubbornness is the result of the intensity of their
natures, and more of an appearance than a reality.
These persons are usually very fortunate in business
and in making money.
The Aries people who are tall and broad-shouldered
are more silent, with a deep spiritual nature, and
great occult power if they choose to develop it.
They are very generous, and distinguished for their
good works, but are not so fortunate in worldly
affairs.
Active, fiery Mars rules Aries and indeed, Aries
people are high-spirited, energetic individuals
ready to try anything at least once. Courageous,
optimistic, and friendly, they are lively participants
in the everyday bustle of life, maintaining a frantic
pace others find difficult to match. Constant physical
activity works off excess energy, and its vitalizing
influence is important to their intellectual and
creative endeavors.
It is usually the energetic Aries who is willing
to start projects others would be afraid to tackle.
However, it is also Aries who often fails to finish
things when too many details demand attention or
they simply lose interest. In spite of the physical
energy associated with Aries, they are not above
using the inability of others to keep up with them
as an excuse for their own idleness. If they expect
others to provide them with constant stimulation
and are unwilling to find their own diversions,
they become lazy. Cut off from physical activity,
they become depressed, unproductive, and overweight.
They are eager athletes and generous players. They
enjoy the challenge of a tough contest, but they
can be so stimulated that they become too aggressive.
Aries rules guns and weapons, so it isn't surprising
that many Aries individuals enjoy hunting. Combative
by nature, they also enjoy boxing, wrestling, and
most team sports. They are apt to be mechanically
inclined and adept at arts and crafts, typing, working
with machinery, playing musical instruments, or
performing magic tricks. They have a tendency to
allow their enthusiasm to exceed their actual ability.
Before taking something apart, they don't stop to
wonder if they can put it back together.
Aries personalities who do not
develop this kind of maturity are demanding and
infantile in their behavior. They want what they
want, when they want it. The vital life force
that is their celestial heritage can either be
used to inspire others as well as themselves,
or it can be turned inward to reflect only their
own selfish needs, and as a result, they fail
to evolve as individuals.
Aries likes to get things done,
and in their passion and zeal often lose sight
of the consequences for themselves and others.
They often try to be diplomatic and tactful, but
it is hard for them. When they do so they feel
that they are being dishonest and phony. It is
hard for them even to understand the mindset of
the diplomat, the consensus builder, the front
office executive.
The interesting thing is that an Aries is rarely
malicious or spiteful - even when waging war.
Aries people fight without hate for their opponents.
To them it is all good-natured fun, a grand adventure,
a game. Aries people are doers. They set out to
accomplish things and are determined to succeed
one way or another. The astrological symbol for
Aries is the Ram and, considering the sheer force
of energy and enthusiasm by which they accomplish
their goals, it is not off the mark to suggest
that they "ram" their way to success.
When confronted with a problem many people will
say 'Well, let's think about it, let's analyze
the situation’, but not an Aries. An Aries
will think 'Something must be done. Let's get
on with it.' Of course neither response is the
total answer. Sometimes action is called for,
sometimes cool thought. But an Aries tends to
err on the side of action.
Aries individuals react in a physical way to everything
they experience in life. That is, before they
assess the practicality or worth of what they
are doing, before they sort out their true emotions,
and, before they take time to reason things out
intellectually, their tendency is to shoot first
and ask questions later.
Their passionate nature is inspiring
and flattering to others, but unless impatience
and rash behavior are curbed, their unbridled
enthusiasm backfires when they lose interest just
as quickly as they gained it. Theirs is the astrological
sign of the soldier but in their haste, they forget
the practicality of being adequately armed before
rushing headlong into physical or verbal combat.
They quickly forget frustration and anger. Since
theirs is essentially a generous nature, their
selfishness is usually a result of carelessness
rather than intentional unkindness.
In general, Aries people have
a faith in themselves that others could learn
from. This basic, rock-bottom faith carries them
through the most tumultuous situations of life.
Their courage and self-confidence make them natural
leaders. Their leadership is more by way of example
than by actually controlling others.
In marriage and partnerships Aries like those
who are more passive, gentle, tactful and diplomatic
- people who have the social grace and skills
they sometimes lack. Our partners always represent
a hidden part of ourselves - a self that we cannot
express personally.
An Aries tends to go after what he or she likes
aggressively. The tendency is to jump into relationships
and marriages. This is especially true if Venus
is in Aries as well as the Sun. If an Aries likes
you, he or she will have a hard time taking no
for an answer; many attempts will be made to sweep
you off your feet.
Though Aries can be exasperating in relationships
- especially if they are not understood by their
partners - they are never consciously or willfully
cruel or malicious. It is just that they are so
independent and sure of themselves that they find
it almost impossible to see somebody else's viewpoint
or position. This is why an Aries needs as a partner
someone with lots of social grace. On the plus
side, an Aries is honest, someone you can lean
on, someone with whom you will always know where
you stand. What he or she lacks in diplomacy is
made up for in integrity.
An Aries is of course the ruler
at home - the Boss. The male will tend to delegate
domestic matters to the female. The female Aries
will want to rule the roost. Both tend to be handy
round the house. Both like large families and
both believe in the sanctity and importance of
the family. An Aries is a good family person,
although he or she does not especially like being
at home a lot, preferring instead to be roaming
about.
Considering that they are by
nature so combative and willful, Aries people
can be surprisingly soft, gentle and even vulnerable
with their children and partners. Aries likes
to come home after a hard day on the battlefield
of life to the understanding arms of their partner
and the unconditional love and support of their
family. An Aries feels that there is enough 'war'
out in the world - and he or she enjoys participating
in that. But when Aries comes home, comfort and
nurturing are what's needed.
Aries colors are red and white.
Vulnerable parts of the body are the head and face.
As a sign of this celestial association, many Aries
individuals are born with a birth mark on their
head or face. Headaches, black eyes, nose bleeds,
and insect bites are common Aries complaints. The
birthstone for Aries is the diamond. The tremendous
heat and pressure that nature exerts in turning
carbon into hard, brilliant diamonds represent the
strength and physical force in the Aries-born. Flowers
for Aries include the poppy (red), geraniums, honeysuckle,
and hollyhocks.
